I’m Chris, born and raised in New England, and I’m trying to build a life that I can be proud of. Most of what matters to me revolves around family, the outdoors, working with my hands, and becoming more capable along the way.

I’m a hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and a guy who believes you should know how to take care of yourself. I’m building a homestead, learning how to get more out of my land, and working toward a life that’s a little more self-sufficient. I believe there’s something worth preserving in the way people did things for generations, but I also believe in using modern technology and science when they can make things better.

More than anything, I want to be the kind of husband and father my family can be proud of. I want to raise kids who are capable, independent, hardworking, comfortable in the outdoors, and willing to make their own way. I love sports, especially baseball and football, and I think a good life should leave plenty of room for competition, adventure, and having some fun.

I’m not trying to pretend I’ve already become that man. I’m still figuring it out. ReelBuiltCo is my record of the process—what I build, what I learn, where I go, what I believe, and everything I screw up along the way.
